El martes 1º de noviembre no fue un día más en la vida del Club Atlético Peñarol. En horas del mediodía se llevó a cabo el evento de presentación del socio número 50.000 de nuestra querida institución.
El homenajeado fue Francisco Castro, un chico de once años que nació sin sus extremidades y que hace unos diez días había cumplido su sueño de visitar "Los Aromos" en helicóptero, donde conoció de cerca al plantel principal de Peñarol.
"Panchito" concurrió al Museo del Palacio "Cr. Gastón Güelfi", donde en una emotiva ceremonia recibió el carnet de socio número 50.000, una televisión LCD para que pueda observar los partidos de Peñarol, la camiseta oficial del club, la casaca de los 120 años entre muchos otros obsequios.
El evento contó con la presencia de Juan Pedro Damiani, Edgar Welker, Fernando Morena, el Periodista Fernando Vilar, entre muchos otros.
